Q2G is definitely on. The forecast wind is favourable. We can expect 20-25 knots from the north at 0800, abating to 15-20 knots for the start so expect a beat at the start (and slack tidal stream). After mid-day, the wind is forecast to change to W-SW and strengthen to 20-25 knots but, by that time, we will all be enjoying a broad reach around the Bellarine Peninsula. The wind is forecast to then abate to 10-15, for a shy reach across Corio Bay Outer Harbour to Point Henry, then a beat to Geelong city and a spinnaker run to the finish at St Helens.

Check the wind forecast at the “Weather” tab above, then BOM wind forecast for Port Phillip including Geelong.

Hoping to see you at Queenscliff,

John Mole, Commodore
