Q2G is definitely on. The forecast wind is favourable. We can expect 20-25 knots from the north at 0800, abating to 15-20 knots for the start so expect a beat at the start (and slack tidal stream). After mid-day, the wind is forecast to change to W-SW and strengthen to 20-25 knots but, by that time, we will all be enjoying a broad reach around the Bellarine Peninsula. The wind is forecast to then abate to 10-15, for a shy reach across Corio Bay Outer Harbour to Point Henry, then a beat to Geelong city and a spinnaker run to the finish at St Helens.

The GTYC 2013 Arthur the Great Race is to be held on Saturday 30th November
Arthur the Great is a passage race starting from St Helens in Corio Bay, proceeding via the North Channel, around the exclusion zone, to Arthur the Great, returning to St Helens via the Hopetoun Channel and the Geelong city.
